My Life list

Here is a list of the birds I've seen within Cebu so far. I will add/replace/update photos on here over time and I will also add information on where they were and are commonly found within the island.  I've arranged them based on when they were first photographed.

1. Brown shrike (Lanius cristatus lucionensis) - locally known as the "Ti-s". A common migrant. They arrive by September (in Cebu) and will become scarce by April.

 16.   Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps indica) – 11/28/2013 - turns out that I don't really have a good photo of this bird. Another not so commonly seen species due to it's terrestial nature. This photo was taken in Mt.view nature's park. The bird flew past in front of me and landed on a tree just a few feet away but couldn't get my camera to focus right away and ended up getting a branch.  Only other times that I have encountered the bird were in Cantipla, along the transcentral highway where I always see it fly by. Commonly seen sold as a pet.
